I love the garden this time of year... full of surprises including visitors. The pink shadblow tree is blooming and yesterday the tree was lit up with beautiful cedar waxwings, just stopping by briefly!
The porch furniture has been rearranged temporarily so that D can get to the spots where the chipmunks have dug underground holes. Last week as I was working out there with Ellie May on my lap, I saw a chippy in that corner and then he suddenly vanished! Fortunately, Ellie May didn't notice. We don't want any more surprises like that for the safety of all!
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.
