An Unusual Way of Eating

Happened to look out of the window
yesterday to catch a glimpse of this
creative squirrel eating from the
bird feeder!

The Dove and the Chipmunk

So quiet...
now if you look very closely, you can see
the dove and the chipmunk...
They looked so peaceful on this cool day
that fluctuated between rain and sun...

Face to Face

Our bird feeder is right beside the path so often
I find myself face to face with an adorable chipmunk!

I love their expression!

You Did What With My Fur?

I comb Brody often and I collect the soft loose
fur and put it on the honeysuckle vine
on the front porch for whoever may like
to use it...

I don't know about Brody but I was happy to
see that the chickadee was checking it out!

Who's in the Front Seat?

We were at the town transfer station on Wednesday
when I noticed someone in the front seat of a nearby
pickup truck that didn't quite appear to be a dog.


Upon closer inspection, it was a darling
baby goat!

She was only two and a half weeks old,
a cross between an Alpine and Nubian.
She was so sweet and calm!

Garden Surprises

I love the garden this time of year...
full of surprises including visitors.
The pink shadblow tree is blooming
and yesterday the tree was lit up with
beautiful cedar waxwings,
just stopping by briefly!

Sweet Sixteen

Polly is our Birthday Girl..she turned
sweet sixteen today!

Piping Plover

While taking a little walk on a deserted beach at low tide
D spotted several birds...turned out to be the
Piping Plovers.

Dilemma Part 2

Polly is on the other side of the screen door!

Time to wash the dishes!
Brody's dishes have gotten
out of control but he doesn't mind!

Enjoying the Sun

The porch furniture has been rearranged
temporarily so that D can get to the spots
where the chipmunks have dug underground
holes. Last week as I was working out there
with Ellie May on my lap, I saw a chippy in
that corner and then he suddenly vanished!
Fortunately, Ellie May didn't notice.
We don't want any more surprises like that
for the safety of all!

Dilemma

Some mornings start out with a dilemma!

The Cutest Chipmunk With Added Photos

This afternoon a little chipmunk discovered
the hazelnuts that D put inside the birdhouse
that sits upon a doghouse.

I took so many photos of this chipmunk
and will post more tomorrow. He or she was
so adorable!
