a nap this morning ( it amazes me how he stretches

the chickadee was surrounded

by the fluffiest snow.

It was so very beautiful!

Brody starts his day (after eating of course)

by looking out of the window for the birds...

He enjoys his boxes and brown paper immensely!

 Sometimes it's difficult to see him when he is in

plain sight.

 Our home is so warm and cozy 

because of him!

Couch Makeover

The other night I found myself taking all of the
mismatched sheets that I've
used to cover our 30 year old couch off...
I felt the couch needed another makeover...
what to do....
I remembered I had some large brown sheets
and two of them managed to cover the couch
and with other things I've saved over the
years such as pillows, pillow shams and blankets our
shabby old couch now has a new look.
It's not at all fancy but it gives the room a
very cozy and comfy feeling!
Brody loves it and looks so handsome on it!

Sometimes the simplest things can bring much happiness.

A Gift

Yesterday morning, Brody was delighted
to welcome a large box that was
delivered to our home.

It was a gift from my Dad...

Everyone's Napping Except...

Sweet little Ellie May snuggled in on this overcast
drizzly day...

Polly looked so comfy with the
napping raccoon and dove...

while Brody was ready for action...
in waiting
for me to make a move up the stairs.

Banana?

Brody isn't too fond of bananas!
When D let him sniff it, Brody
scrunched up his nose...in fact I
think he is afraid of them for shortly
thereafter he fled the couch!

Box Seat

Brody adores this old narrow box...
in the evening when we watch a movie
he joins us in his box seat!
He gives a new meaning to having a
"box seat" at the theater!

As you can see, he barely fits, the back of the box
is flattened and he often falls asleep in it
and the whole thing tilts!
He makes us smile!

Our Furry Family This Week

You Did What With My Fur?

I comb Brody often and I collect the soft loose
fur and put it on the honeysuckle vine
on the front porch for whoever may like
to use it...

I don't know about Brody but I was happy to
see that the chickadee was checking it out!

Dilemma Part 2

Polly is on the other side of the screen door!

Time to wash the dishes!
Brody's dishes have gotten
out of control but he doesn't mind!

Dilemma

Some mornings start out with a dilemma!

Sorting

It's the time of year to sort through piles of
receipts, a very time consuming process.
It's nice having company for this tedious task!

Polly settles herself down right in the middle of it!


While Ellie May keeps me from escaping
by sitting on my lap.

What a Helper!

Brody loves to be as close as possible when I happen
to be using the computer in the house.
I love having him near but it did make it difficult
to move the trackball mouse while his head was on it!
