Nan, you're so lucky Ellie May is so well-behaved! My cats behave like perfect hooligans when I take them to my studio, racing around, knocking things over, even grabbing my brushes and hiding them! So, I've resigned myself to being companionless when working in my studio. :(
Victoria, I guess that I am lucky with my cats and my art...Ellie May actually lives in the studio and she is very dainty and manages to walk around everything, even very cluttered desks! I would have trouble if Brody visited the studio for he eats plastic and might eat the plastic bags that the prints are in. Your cats sound very comical but I can see why they would be difficult to work with! Thanks for visiting!
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.
click "Kimbea" the featured pet above to see samples of custom pet portraits and info. I can work from your photos with ink and watercolors to create a lasting memory of a beloved pet.
