Yesterday afternoon, I noticed something
very large in the sky gliding over the
Kennebunk River in Kennebunkport.
It was too big for a gull and many other
birds and duck had flown by just before
its' arrival.
Upon closer inspection, we realized
it was an eagle!
Very exciting!

Hi Nan. Great picture of a juvie! (juvenile Bald Eagle) That silhouette is unmistakeable, isn't it?!

oh, we weren't sure whcih kind of eagle that was...thanks for clarifying it for us. D thought it might be a golden eagle but this really isn't their range!
