Happy 4th of July! more added

Saturday morning at the craft fair I met
these lovely dogs!

Meeting Ripple was a real surprise!
Last summer I saw a couple riding bikes
and a dog riding in the knapsack of one of the bicycles.
I jumped out of the car and tried to be discreet
for I wanted to photograph them.
I created a painting of it and made prints.

I had no idea who they were.
Well, they all appeared in my booth at the fair!

Puddin' and Moose stopped by.
Here's Puddin' when I had painted
her with her beloved Penny.

I had the pleasure of meeting this
new addition to a family I know
and her name is Cosette.

I had painted another dog, Monique, for this
family in 2001.

The weather was ok til the afternoon.
Stop by here to see more of the craft fair...
Will write more soon... still undwinding!

These are all really cute dogs! were the people who own the black and white pup thrilled to see your cute painting of her? She must've been a real baby when she was in the bike basket because she still looks like a puppy in your photo.

Sweet dogs. I too am wondering what the people thought of your painting of ripple. It must have been a wonderfully unexpected surprise.

Oh my goodness, how lovely to see the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, we have owned four in our time and they are the most delightful little dogs. It was heartbreaking though as they are very prone to heart disease and two of ours died very young so we reluctantly decided not to have any more. That is a lovely painting, do tell us what the owners thought.

Hi everyone!
Ripple is an adorable dog and I had thought when I saw her riding on the bicycle last summer that she was just a puppy but now I realize she's just small! This is how the discovery was made. A woman came into the booth and said she'd like to ask me a question.
She mentioned that a friend of hers had seen a picture of her dog Ripple somewhere last year and her friend must have mentioned my name.
At first I didn't quite know what she meant until the word bicycle was mentioned it clicked! I couldn't believe it for I had no idea who they were and I often wondered if by chance they might discover the painting of their dog.
I had thought I brought the print with me and as I looked through the box I couldn't find it for I brought so many prints...so they walked around the fair and came back and I did have it after all!
She had thought it was going to be a tiny picture of her dog with the beach and I think she was happily surprised to see the focus was on Ripple! They rode off with the print and Ripple on their bikes...
Am so happy they came before the weather changed!

Shy Songbird,
Isn't that something that you had Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They are wonderful dogs...Moose and Puddin'are adorable and live in town.
Many years ago, when D and I lived in Conn. we were renting a tiny cottage on an estate that had a beautiful tudor house and enchanting grounds and Mrs. P who lived in the house had 4 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. That was my first introduction to them.
