such faces! you have a very nice family of cats, nan. and, yes, it felt like summer here in sw connecticut. we ate supper on the porch and had the ceiling fan on in our bedroom.
Karen LR, thanks! This time of year we are trying to get by without turning on the heat, often the temperature inside of the house and studio are chillier than the outside air in the morning, so on a warmer September days we will open some windows to allow the warm air inside. On Wednesday, little did we know that the air would become too warm! In fact, it was hot and at night we had to leave the windows opened with a fan!
Sweet kitties, so soft and furry - I just want to touch their beautiful coats of fur! Yes, our house is cooler inside than out, and I love it that way!
Other than the fact that i know one can't get cats to pose, i would think these shots are posed...they are all so lovely! Especially the one of Polly looking so sweet and composed on the porch couch!
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.

Polly has the right idea. Enjoy the last warmth of summer while it lasts.
Took two cats to the vet for checkups yesterday. One of them is still angry at me this morning.

Lovely cats. I must admit that Brody always makes me smile when I look at his face. Such curious eyes.
