First Day of the New Year

 

To our amazement this morning we saw 2 eagles

gliding overhead as I was observing a kingfisher

on the first day of the new year....

 

 

 

Eagle

This morning while walking through our town
I happened to glance up at the sky and see
an eagle!
Was so excited!


It was being chased out of the area at first by seagulls
and then
by a crow!

What's in the Sky

Yesterday afternoon, I noticed something
very large in the sky gliding over the
Kennebunk River in Kennebunkport.
It was too big for a gull and many other
birds and duck had flown by just before
its' arrival.


Upon closer inspection, we realized
it was an eagle!

Very exciting!

A Surprise in the Sky

We were riding home this afternoon
when D spotted a flock of Canada Geese
flying over the road from the cove.
I missed seeing them but as I glanced
out of my window, I saw a large dark winged
bird gliding by... not realizing just what it was.
D looked over and exclaimed,
"That's an eagle!"
He quickly pulled over and I hurried out of the
car and somehow managed to get several photos
and here is one...
