The Summer Solstice

Happy First Day of Summer!
Was a hot and humid day here but this
gull had the right idea to stay cool and comfortable!

An Unlikely Couple

This unlikely couple seemed to be fishing together
yesterday afternoon as the snow gently fell...

Look What the Gull Fished Out of the River

Early this evening found us sitting on a bench
where the river meets the sea...so serene.

Noticed a gull dive into the river and I assumed
that what it caught was a fish.
As the gull flew to the rocky shore
with it's catch I got a better look and
discovered it was an apple! I never knew
gulls dined on apples and this one really seemed
to enjoy it!

Birds by the Sea

In the swells of the sea, this gull rode the
waves while the sparrows on the rocky shore
caught flies on this mild October day.
