Wind In the Willow

After a week of rain, yesterday the

sun made brief appearances

through dark dramatic clouds.

 

To my delight the porcupine  could be

seen swaying in the wind in the willow

tree in our backyard enjoying the 

willow leaves.

Feels Like Summer but It's Spring

Spring and summer seem to have arrived together
and exceptionally early this year!

The chipmunks woke up and are scurrying around
and filling up on sunflower seeds...

birds are singing and we have heard the peepers
peeping from nearby ponds as night falls...

Brody loves sitting out on the porch
keeping an eye on the wildlife activity
in the yard.
He's seen the flying squirrels at night!



And to my surprise I saw this wonderful porcupine
way up in a willow tree.
