late afternoon light...

Winter's Woodpecker and Moth

What a surprise to see this Red-bellied Woodpecker
yesterday in our yard and then to go inside and
see a moth on the window!

Chickadee

It was 1 degree earlier this morning, the sun is shining
so it has warmed up a little. Fluffed up to keep warm,
this chickadee is about to fly to the bird feeder for a
sunflower seed !

Morning Light

First thing this morning, my computer helper
was on the job...
then I went downstairs and the morning light
cast a glow upon Polly...a reflective moment.

Soaring

The gulls were hovering over the ocean as the
wind picked up this afternoon...they were so beautiful
to watch and I was thrilled to be able to
look down upon them from a higher
vantage point and to capture the moment with my camera.
