Contemplation and Camouflage

Yesterday was a day of contemplation...
the quiet and peacefulness of the snow crept inside.

While outside, I happened to startle the gray squirrel
who was filling up at the bird feeder...he leapt to the
nearby crabapple tree and seemed to disappear...
can you see him?

well,
here's a close up!

I could see those big, black squirrel eyes even in the first photo. We had freezing rain last night and the sidewalks are treacherous this morning. I'm lucky I made it to work without falling.

Marnie, Oh, be careful! Ice is so dangerous... do you have ice grippers for your shoes?

Like Marnie, i saw those bright black squirrel eyes even in the first photo! Love the picture of Brody contemplating his ceramic companion. We've got "mixed precipitation" on its way today...yucko.

quiltcat, oh, your weather sounds like it is on the miserable side! Today we actually have sunshine and the snow is glistening...looks beautiful and does lift one's spirits!

Love your blog. Words to describe it; peaceful, quiet, stillness, homey, warmth, good feelings, smiles, and warms the heart
