Two Red Squirrels

Now that the sunflower seeds have
been discovered, we have two red
squirrels visiting!

I think they will be here daily from now on!

I fell in love with their cuteness!

You can see a much larger view of this by clicking on the photo

Hope you enjoyed seeing them as much as I did!

These are very cute. I don't think I've seen squirrels before with a white chest. In Texas the squirrels were brown, in Oregon they are gray. Many years ago, when my son was little, his favorite book was "Miss Suzy", about a red squirrel. I kept it all those years and it became one of his son's favorite books. I look forward to seeing more of these guys.

Thanks Linda, It's so nice that you saved that book! I have been working on some drawings/watercolors of the red squirrels for a few years now with hopes of making it into a book. We had baby red squirrels living in the attic of my studio several winters ago and I had the chance to see them when they first ventured out to discover the world outside of the attic in the spring!
Thanks for visiting!
