Another Rainy Night

It's been another day of rain and
gray misty skies...tonight I'm
working with the company of
my darling Ellie May.
Been making
pins for a craft fair... when I glance
over at her she looks so content!

Oh, she looks so lovely! We had rain in night too, and I was really grateful, as the garden is so dry....watering taks ages, as we have no outside tap or hose just an old watering can! It takes me about two hours - so last night I got a night off! Hope you're all well Nan!

Buskitten,
I wish we could give you some of our water...it's going on the 3rd week of rainy days! What a lot of work it is for you to water your garden! The slugs are eating the gardens...D read somewhere of a duck that eats slugs, he thought if he had one he could rent it out for the week and pick it up etc. I thought he could name it Slugger!

Ellie May certainly looks content. Ducks and chickens both like to eat slugs! The problem is to keep them (especially the ducks) from eating your young plants, too. I love the idea of a rent-a-duck service!

Love the idea of a duck patrolling the garden for slugs. I certainly rent one to put in the hosta bed.

We need a little of your rain too. I am hand watering and hate that.

Just too cute!!!!
Could we have some of your rain too, please? ;) It's really hot and getting very dry here in London, UK...

She looks so content. You two are the perfect companions in creativity (let's assume Ellie May is having creative dreams!).
Nan, I've linked to you on my Fabric Art blog, if you'd like to visit!
Let's hope we'll see the sun sometime soon!

quiltcat,
the rent-a-duck might be a good business if this weather keeps up!

Marnie,
I'm thankful we didn't get the heat you've experienced...hand watering if tough!

Nathalie,
Isn't strange that you are having the sunny warm weather in England...tonight it is 56 degrees here in Maine and foggy.
We went out to take a walk and I saw a few eider ducks...the tide was very high and I took many photos.
I just loved the foggy atmosphere,
also saw terns.

Judy, thanks and I bet Ellie May is dreaming of something creative! Thanks so much for linking to me and I'm going over to see it now!
I find I can concentrate more on my art work when it is overcast and rainy and cool as opposed to the heat so I guess it's not too bad and I know I'd complain about the heat!
