It was 1 degree earlier this morning, the sun is shining
so it has warmed up a little. Fluffed up to keep warm,
this chickadee is about to fly to the bird feeder for a
sunflower seed !

We love chicadees - so cute. This morning it was 15 degrees, so we had a fire crackling in the hearth; very cozy indeed. Zach was at first afraid of it, and as time wore on, he walked closer to it, and finally realized it was giving out heat. So he sat on the footstool and enjoyed a nap. :)

I just love seeing all of the birds in the winter and they sure do make the yard fell alive. Your morning by the hearth sounds so cozy. Must have been fun to watch Zack as he discovered the warmth of the fire.
