quiltcat, oldcrow61, Judy H,Karen LR, and Marnie, thanks for your comments...those chippies are very photogenic. Now I am a bit worried about them for Kita Cat from the horse barn behind the houses across the street has been visiting our garden today and could be quite a dangerous threat to the chippies. She didn't visit last summer but today she kept popping out of the greenery and was last seen sleeping on the compost bin near the vegetable garden. She's a super friendly cat but now I'm going to worry about the safety of the little critters.
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.

apparently the chipmunk is not in the least fooled into thinking that's a real owl! what an excellent picture!
A wonderful picture.
This chipmunk is obviously looking for the cutest poses possible! I think you have created a diva!!
maybe there's a miniseries in the making here?
I think you have that little guy trained to sit still and look cute;)
