The House and Studio Cats

We share our house with the
upstairs and downstairs cats,
Brody and Polly.
Brody can become a stalker when
Polly is in his sight so they usually require
supervision when they are in the same room.

Wonder what Brody is looking at
with such intensity and concentration?
This happens to be his expression
when he is watching Polly.

Polly is so comfortable relaxing on the couch on a
cold winter evening as long as Brody keeps his distance!

Next to our house is my studio that I share
with Ellie May. After our cat nap together,
she helped me post tonight about Polly and Brody.

They all looks so content and snuggly...too bad Brody can be so mean to Polly. Sometimes i'm tempted to use the same solution (separate parts of the house) so i don't have to listen to Sylvie growling and yelling at Gingy at least once a day!

quiltcat, they are all the sweetest cats, I think that maybe the reason they all need separate places is that they are all afraid of each other. In Brody's case, it might be he's the only boy and he is much younger than the girls and wants to hunt, chase and play. The problem is, Polly is not one to be hunted and he can cause physical injury to her when he is in that frame of mind. So we have screen doors inside our house to separate areas, which allows the air to circulate and also everyone can see each other and still be safe. It's a bit crazy, but seems to work though we all get confused sometimes as to who is where.

Ellie May we bet you are a good studio cat helper!
We have a neighbor named Brody. Except he's a human.

Brody looks like he's about to go off on a wild run. A little like my Toby but Toby doesn't attack the older cats he just annoys them;)

Shaggy, Scooby and Scout,
Thanks for visiting! Ellie May is a great help with my art in the studio,
great company and keeps me focused!
Although, I do have a tendency to want to take cat naps with her!

Marnie,
You're lucky with Toby, annoying is better than attack, although wouldn't it be nice if they all got along well!
