As I stepped outside this evening I saw a magical sight. If you look closely, you can see Ellie May in the left window of the studio as the moon shone through wisps of pink clouds.
That is a beautiful photograph, Nan - your house is so charming, I love those windows in the attic, lovely! We have snow in the UK, it's really bad in London and the South, but we have a sprinkling here in South West Scotland! Very pretty!
Hi Buskitten Liz, I just heard from another blogger in England that they have snow, too! It adds the magical quality to winter!
Hi Marnie, That little Ellie May was doing just that, watching for someone to come over...as soon as she hears the sound of the door opening, she dashes from the window to run ( at a slow pace for she's older now) down the stairs to greet you at the door.
Oh, I just love all of the cats who are so special in their own ways!
Hi Nan. What a lovely picture! the pink and blue are quite magical, as is sweet Ellie May's little face in the window. That's nice encouragement to you to head over to the studio.
Hi quiltcat, She really is good encouragement for me to go over to the studio and hopefully get something accomplished! I can also actually see her in that window from the inside of our house, which often serves as a good reminder and I also feel guilty that I'm not with her! Nan
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.

I can just see her little face in the window. Watching for someone to come keep her company:)
I love the previous posts with Brody looking thru the window. That's a really nice photo. And Polly, what a sweetie.
