He looks like he's enjoying his Brazil nut;) I had seven gray squirrels in my yard yesterday evening vacuuming up the sunflower seed I put out for the cardinals. Marnie
What amazing photographs - your photography alwyas blows me away, Nan, you're brilliant at it! Hope you're all well, we have snow forcast tonight, so someone will need to go out for teabags, as we've run out! Can't be snowed in without a cuppatee!
Marnie and quiltcat, it really looks like a smile to me, too, on that little red squirrel! It's a tough winter and the wildlife needs all the help they can get!
Buskitten, thanks for the lovely comment about the photos...we've had some melting of snow here, but there's still plenty! Is it unusual for you to get much snow?
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.

Yes, it's easy to imagine that that's a smile on the little guy's face. What a nice treat!
