Inspired by the Garden

Surrounded by the sight and scent of spring in
our garden, today I felt very inspired
to work on flowers and butterflies.
Working out on the porch, Ellie May
sat by my side and on my lap and when she
tired of helping she jumped over to her
basket to keep an eye out for the chipmunk.

(Perhaps one of the paintings
may be included in a book project I've been
working on.)

Your drawings are exquisite! As much as I like butterflies in the garden, I'm also in love with those sweet kittens on your previous post. The white one looks so much like our Toby the cat. I hope they've found a home!

Rose, Oh, thanks so much for your comment about my art. Those kittens were so adorable and I miss them though I only knew them for about a half hour! The person who brought them over also loves them but was concerned that her daughter may be allergic. It will be interesting to see who they end up with! The little girl kitty does resemble your Toby!
Did you get Toby as a kitten?

I can't wait to learn more about your book project. I love your paintings, the wildlife, the scenes and especially the cats. Ellie May sees something really interesting out that window.

quiltcat, Judy and Marnie,
Appreciate all of your comments! Ellie May did see the chipmunk and that is her very alert look...the chippy often runs down the path towards the screen door and then detours at the last second. There have been some close calls...
