My Three Cats

I've been helping my parents in their home, trying
to organize so there is less clutter.
We've been finding all kinds of things and among
them this birthday card I had made for my Mom
in 2006.

Will be tackling the basement soon!

Hi Nan, lovely card - I went and did this at my mum's a couple of years ago. All the 'stuff' was getting a bit out of hand! Hey, I bet you'll find all sorts of goodies in the basement! Can't wait to see some!

Hi Liz,
It's funny, we didn't really throw too much out, it turned out just putting things together, like all of the photos, and music etc. made such a difference.
The basement is a disaster area once again...Oh, I don't know where to start...first I'll try to clear some pathways!

I have done for my parents what you are now doing. It's always a lovely surprise to come upon something you've made that has been saved and treasured. This is a beautiful card!

Thanks Judy,
There are so many memories here...we keep finding some wonderful old photos. It seems that no matter how many times over the years I've tried to help sort things, there are still treasures to be found. We seem to be a family of savers!

what a lovely card! my unsentimental father threw away most of the stuff like that (cards my sister and i had made and sent among them, but of course the artwork was nothing like yours!) but deep down i have to admit he was right...moving to a 2-bedroom apartment he won't have much place to keep things. My mother was a real saver and i'm afraid i've inherited that "gene."

quiltcat,
I'm like you...can't help but save everything...but somehow when it gets sort of organized it seems like a smaller amount!
