Polly's Discovery

Can you see what Polly discovered?
Look closely on the rock on the porch
steps.

Intense concentration! I forgot to mention I love your painting of Polly in the previous post. She is a lovely cat.

Oh yes! Her ear and his fur are very similar in coloring! I wonder where these young chipmunks came from? Perhaps their mother tossed them out of their family den because she's got new babies coming along. (I don't really know that much about chipmunk family habits!)

Oh, really, is that a chipmunk? I didn't know they were so teeny! We don't have them in Australia and I always imagined them to be bigger. Beautiful cat; our dog sits like that at the back door wanting to get out at the bread we throw to the cockatoos and magpies in the courtyard!

Marnie, thanks and Polly did have much concentration observing the chipmunk. We can always tell if there's a critter or insect around by following the gaze of our cats.

quiltcat,
Polly's coloring and that of the chipmunk are quite similar! I've seen two young chippy's running around.
I have a feeling there may be more!

Shaggy, Scooby and Scout,
I bet you love chipmunks, too!

Coccinella,
Thanks so much for visiting! I'm going to spend some time visiting your blog soon. Chipmunks are small and fast! So fascinating to hear about the wildlife in the backyards of those in other parts of the world, cockatoos and magpies!
Hope you visit again!

Thanks again everyone!

I still can't see it! Is it on the window frame? Can I have a clue please!

Buskitten Liz,
Ok, look just above Polly's right ear and it's a bit out of focus.
If you actually click on the photo is will enlarge (I don't even know how it got so big!) and then you can really see it so let me know if that works!
