Cats and Chipmunks

Keep an eye on the wooden post in the photo above.

Now we will continue to quietly walk down
the path towards the studio where, Ellie May,
the artist cat resides. She enjoys the view
of the garden from a window on her porch
and most of all the sight of anything that
scurries or flies. She's in luck!

Meanwhile, back in the house, Brody is
content to hang out with his mouse friend.

What a lovely little cottage that is! And once again, you've posted some very fine pictures! I love to visit your blog...

The birds and squirrels outside the windows are like TV for cats.

That chipmunk is so cute sitting inside the orange rind. Don't you wonder what they think when they find something so exotic and not native to Maine on top of a pole (also not native;)

what a strange plump orchard oriole you've attracted to your fruit feeder *g*. It's neat to see the chippie, and Ellie May watching him, in the same picture!

Karen LR, Thanks! The studio was built by my husband, D, who also built our house with me as his assistant, which left much to be desired for I am not handy with tools but I did do quite a bit of shoveling of sand and rocks and painting sheetrock etc., it's been an ongoing process for a very long time, ( I hate to think of how many years it's been) and will most likely never be finished!

Roses and Lilacs Marnie,
I was thinking about the very same thing...wondering what the chipmunk might think...oranges grow on poles, hmmmm.

quiltcat,
Those chippies are everywhere I look! I keep bumping into them when least expected.
