How'd He Do That?

In case you're wondering what you're
looking at...
(for when I first saw it, I was quite puzzled)

.... it's a chipmunk upsidedown and actually
inside the bird feeder.

I was glad he or she was able to
get out without outside assistance!

That gave me such a giggle this morning :)
How is Polly now? Was she just off colour do you think?

Take care

Hi Renee, Thanks!

Hi Kim,
I still am smiling about that chipmunk's escapades! Full of surprises! We really are not sure what happened to Polly but she is back to being herself after one day of being ill...we are tending to think she may have eaten something like an ant!

Hi Liz Buskitten,
Thanks so much for your wonderful compliments about my photos! I really appreciate them!

Hi Karen LR,
Thanks and I wonder what today will bring....

How did it turn around in there. You have to wonder if they have any bones. Hope it doesn't eat thru your feeder.

I keep thinking about getting one of those squirrel gyms with the swinging and twirling things. Squirrels and chipmunks are so at home swinging wildly on tiny branches they seem to have no fear.

oh my goodness! Did D forget to put the lid down when he filled the feeder, or did the chipmunk push it up himself? that's sure an awful tight fit for him to get out. Fantastic pics! You must've been poised there with your camera, wondering if you were going to have rescue him or not.

Marnie,
That's a good question...I wasn't sure how he would turn around, incredibly flexible!
He came back many times!

quiltcat,
You know, I have a feeling D didn't secure the lid to the bird feeder.
The last time the chippy went in, he was much lower in the feeder for most of the seeds were gone and he was having trouble getting out for there was a bar above his head and suddenly he was panicking which suddenly made me panic! I quickly went in the house to let D know the situation and by the time I returned, somehow chippy had vacated the bird feeder!

Well, I guess you never know what you will see in your back yard!
So funny!!

Hi Judy H,
You're right, but actually it's in our front yard...our whole yard is made up of garden beds with a natural tendency to ramble which is like a sanctuary for the wildlife!
