Sunday's Garden Visitors

Didn't take long for this little chipmunk to
discover the apple that D wedged into the tree
at the bird feeders.

Among the birds in the garden this afternoon
were this yellow warbler and a hummingbird.

I had a hummingbird yesterday too. It seems early, maybe not. Great photo of the yellow warblers. I had a pair last year and never got one single photo.

quiltcat,
thanks and those chipmunks are everywhere...D says we're growing them now! They are incredibly cute.
I'm glad the azalea is in bloom for the hummingbird....the other plant it likes this time of year is the quince.

Marnie,
Thanks! I've seen the yellow warbler here for a few days...oh, they sure are difficult to get a photo of for they seem to be in constant motion and almost impossible to see through the viewfinder.

Your photographs never cease to amaze me, Nan- they are quite incredible! I really don't know how you do it - you should be a professiopnal wild-life photographer, you know! have you ever thought about going on a safari to Africa and taking some photos of the animals? That's something I would love to see you do! Thanks for sharing such beautiful work!

Nan,
I've never been that observant of little birds and critters until I began reading your blog! Your photography is so good, I feel that I am in your garden!
My sister is handicapped and housebound, but has a beautiful garden (planted by her son) outside her sliding doors and she spends her days looking out at her flowers, and animals that visit from the woods behind her home. Beside her, observing diligently also, is her cat, Emily Elizabeth!
