We Love Chipmunks

Ellie May, the cat and I love chipmunks!

Today was a chipmunk kind of day.
With the help of my camera,
I gathered these images from
which to draw at a later time.
These 2 very busy resident
chipmunks have learned how to
make the most of
our bird feeder and garden.
Luckily for them, Ellie May is an
indoor cat now.

Ellie May doesn't seem at all interested in your great pictures of the chipmunks! The one on the feeder with cheek pouches stuffed full of seeds is especially cute.

Nan, these chipmunk photos are so cute! And Ellie May looks so content, unaware of these tantalizing images right before her!
Always such a pleasure to visit your blog!

quiltcat,
the chipmunks were especially cute today. That little chippy was back and forth all day long filling up with sunflower seeds and then dashing off...

Judy H,
Ellie May does look so nonchalant about having photos of her favorite critters right under her nose! She goes on red alert when she sees them running towards her while she patiently watches through the screen door... at the last second they veer off to the side.
Occasionally one has slipped through a gap at the bottom of the screen door and then we have big trouble!

Well I was goig to say I wish we had chipmunks, as they are so cute - but actually, I'm glad we don't as our three would no doubt bring them in and terrorise the poor little things! Touch wood, we have not had any small furry creature-related incidents recently! Good!
Ellie May is adorable, Nan!

I have one vacuuming up seed under my feeders. Luckily for him, Toby is now a indoor cat (due to the birds nesting on the ground in the hedgerows.
