Polly is a wonderful cat model... I've been drawing and painting her since she was a tiny kitten in 1994. She may be a part of a special book project I've been working on with the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust. Stay tuned for more news about that...
This evening Polly did her favorite thing, she sat upon 2 pillows on her Dad's lap and saw herself on the blog and felt the hum of the laptop, like a big purring cat. Bliss!
quiltcat, thanks so much for your comment! Polly is such a sweet kitty. I have so many drawing/paintings of her and will be posting more. I had once worked on a series of her in her many baskets. Will be visiting your site soon!
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.
click "Kimbea" the featured pet above to see samples of custom pet portraits and info. I can work from your photos with ink and watercolors to create a lasting memory of a beloved pet.

What a beautiful girl! and how lovely she looks, sitting next to her portrait. You've really caught her essence in the basket drawing, i think.
quiltcat,
