Those are great. A junco, robin and sparrow? I saw my first robin here last weekend.
I spend, or waste depending on how you look at it, a lot of time watching birds, especially in the winter months. I get attached to the woodpeckers, nuthatches and the blue jays. They are easy to identify individually. Marnie
Hi Marnie, thanks, and those are a junco, a robin with an apple and a baby sparrow. The robins have been here for most of the winter, which is unusual. I'm like you, I spend so much time watching birds especially through the lens of my camera. I just love them! In fact, I just paused with my camera on my way over to the studio which is next to our house. It's almost warm enough to stand outside without being frozen! Nan
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.
click "Kimbea" the featured pet above to see samples of custom pet portraits and info. I can work from your photos with ink and watercolors to create a lasting memory of a beloved pet.

Oops, Marnie, when I replied to you I had been working on setting up a blog for relatives and forgot to switch my name back so "cousin nan" is me!
Lovely paintings, Nan! the robins are happy, we finally had a little bit of rain so the ground is softening up and the worms are thawing out *g*.
