Waiting and Watching

It's supper time for Polly and she is patiently
waiting in her kitchen counter basket for me
to open a new can of her one and only favorite
food.

Meanwhile, Ellie May has settled into
one of her window baskets to check out
the activity around the birdfeeder
beside the path...
it's a bit quiet at the moment.

I'm hoping some of their
ability to concentrate will rub off on me
so I can finish two pet portraits.

Such sweet and pretty girls! (oh as i'm typing this, Fuzzy is begging for his late evening snack...hopping up on the box next to my desk chair and chirping at me) I hope their concentration will help you finish the pet portraits you're working on.

Lovely photos Nan! What a beautiful face! My little Bacon-cat is really naughty when he wants his breakfast, he comes in to my bedroom (far too early) and systematically knocks things off the desk until I get up! Naughty cat!

Polly and Ellie May look so contented! I have never seen a blue-eyed cat in person! So pretty!

Hi everyone,
thanks for your comments...
Brody has a funny habit for eating, he wants me to kneel down beside him on the floor and he will rub is head against mine and eat a little and rub etc.
Oh, and actually Polly's eyes are green but may appear to have a bluish tint.

One of my kitties has a one and only canned pet food. She is not patient, in fact she is very vocal when it's feeding time;)

Hi Marnie,
Polly is the only one of our 3 cats that actually quivers for her wet cat food. Brody doesn't like wet food and Ellie May is fine with a small dab but Polly can't do without it. Problem is it's expensive, so I try to ration carefully but usually her plaintive eyes get to me...

Polly is a beauty, reminds me of a kitty I had as a child. And that Ellie May, so cozy.
