Hi Nan, great to see some of your paintings - you use watercolour, don't you? I must dig mine out and have a go, but I find them really terrifying! I'm not a natural painter, unlike you! You are brilliant - do you sketch the rough out first, then apply the paint? Always like to know how artists 'construct' their work (nosy!)
Hi everyone! I'm home! Oh, it's so wonderful to be reunited with my kitties! We have our own communication that goes so deep with each one and we just picked up as though I was never away. My sister gave me a cat tent which I will post soon. Brody is the first to try it out and he loved it! I have so much to do to organize my studio. D was working on it while I was away trying to finish some of the things that have been waiting for years ( like some window trim and other things)! In order to work he had to move my stuff around and as it was it was very crowded and now it is a total mess. More soon in a new post! Nan
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.
click "Kimbea" the featured pet above to see samples of custom pet portraits and info. I can work from your photos with ink and watercolors to create a lasting memory of a beloved pet.

lovely paintings as always, Nan! Polly looks a lot like the famous Chessie kitten as she snoozes. I hope you'll get to go home to Maine this weekend!
Unbelievable! All I can draw is stick people & stick cats.
I bet you are missing them. I enjoyed seeing your paintings.
Are you heading home this week?
