I just heard from Phoebe's Mom who was excited
for she, her husband and their talented and famous cats,
Phoebe and Sidney have won a

Today I was delighted to receive a photo of Phoebe,
a beautiful and very sweet cat that I had been

commissioned to paint for a Christmas gift.
Phoebe seems to be admiring the portrait
of herself as her Mom opened the gift
Christmas morning.
In 2007, I had painted another member of Phoebe's
family, Sidney, a ginger cat in a box, who was a
surprise Christmas gift for their Dad.
Here's a closer look at Phoebe's portrait.

That is so cute! And you've definitely caught the essence of the kitty, down to her adorably chubby toes.
You did a great job on the portrait. Phoebe's owner looks thrilled with it.

Wow Nan! Your work is brilliant, it really is! That's a lovely picture of cats mum opening her gift. It's looking very bare here, as the Christmas decorations have been put away until the end of this year!
quiltcat, Marnie and Buskitten,
thanks so much for the lovely comments about Phoebe's portrait.
I hadn't realized til today that Phoebe and Sidney ( who I painted last year ) are famous! Their Mom e-mailed me and mentioned that they have won a national Bertolli Frozen Foods contest for a video they submitted. I just looked at it and it is terrific, so I posted an update on this post with a link.
Hope you enjoy it!
Nan
I just watched the video....hilarious! I guess they'll get a lifetime supply of Bertolli frozen dinners now *g*. And to think that Phoebe had her portrait painted before she became world famous!
