Evening, My Art Supervisor is Back

Ellie May has resumed her position in her
supervisor's basket to oversee my art work.
She is such a lovely, calm inspiration.
If you look closely you can see her two other
baskets alongside the windows where she observes
our house and the wildlife.

Will put the finishing touches on
the 2 pet portraits tomorrow.

How do your pets help with your work?

I know quiltcat gets much help with her
telecommuting work and her quilts with
her kitties, Sylvie, Louie, Fuzzy and Gingy.

Oops, my apologies to Ellie Mae, i misidentified her in my comment on your previous post! I'm glad she's back in snoopervisor mode....the work seems to be moving along nicely.

Heh heh Cat supervisors! The best thing is that you can cuddle, snoofle or poke them, depending on your mood! Even though it can be a distraction when they jump on my desk and play with my pencils, sometimes I fiddle with stuff to get them started, just to watch them be naughty as it's so cute!
They are so adorable, that they remind me not to take myself to seriously, and they are far more important than trying to get books published, earning money etc!

"Help" Hmmmm...I use a leather thimble and it came up missing several times, and I eventually found it at the bottom of the cellar stairs. Finally, I caught Henry, red handed, with it (tenderly) in his mouth! And one time I took Henry to the vet for an x-ray because I was convinced he'd eaten a needle, which of course, he hadn't. But I needed to be sure, because, you know, I love this beast.

Nan, thank you for visiting my blog. Yours is beautiful and I've enjoyed looking around. I love your prints!

My cats supervise everything I do. They know that even after you get your human trained...you have to keep after them. This morning I got fussed at for sleeping too late. :-)

Love the photos of your kitties. Ellie May is a pretty girl! (BTW, my last name is May.)

quiltcat, that's quite alright, so easy to get the names confused, even we do!
I finished the 2 portraits today...

Buskitten Liz, it sure is great company to have them nearby when working...my problem is if I see one napping, I'm so tempted to take a cat nap!

Karen LR, Glad you solved the mystery of the missing thimble, Henry looks so special! We have things missing around here, too.
Years ago when we had kittens, our tv remote disappeared, and to this day my husband still thinks they had something to do with it!

Carla,
So glad you visited and thanks so much for your comment about my art.
Our cats have trained us quite well, too.
We know what all of their looks mean and often times it can be quite subtle. I left another comment over at your blog about your sister and the dog rescue. Funny thing, late this afternoon 2 lost labs wandered into our yard...
after many phone calls and some investigation, we discovered where they belong. Whew!

Kristie follows me around all morning and sits on the dining room chair (on a cushion) next to me while I use the computer,
When I make art, she is always there watching, and I make extra twirly scraps of paper or fabric for her to play with!

Judy,
your comment made me smile, makes me realize how similar our cats are...and how we all try to make them as comfy and part of the process when we work on art or the computer or whatever our interests, though they could gently alter what we are doing if we don't pay attention.
