We never know what cats are thinking about, do we? I agree with the last two comments - Brody is beautiful! And thank you, Nan, for your kind comment on my blog!
oldcrow61, Marnie and Judy, thanks so much for the compliments about Brody! When we saw him in a cage at the shelter in 2004, we just knew we had to bring him home. Was love at first sight.
Rose, I think Brody's been curious about her basket for years but all of a sudden he became interested enough while still be cautious to try it out. They are full of surprises! Polly sure does love to have her rubs and loves to be brushed especially under her chin!
hi quiltcat, you're right about Brody, it's funny that he is actually very cautious and a very sweet cat but sometimes something comes over him when he sees Polly move and he goes into a stalking attack mode. Yesterday morning Polly was with D in his computer room behind the indoor screen door and Brody on the couch in the other room. Polly managed to push the screen door opened and didn't see Brody on the couch. She jumped onto the couch as she always does to work her way over to her basket in the corner. Well, she landed right on Brody! I was over in my studio but D witnessed this and said they were both so shocked...luckily she kept moving and when she reached the safety of her basket, she hissed at him!

Obviously, he decided her bed must be more comfortable:) Loved the picture on yesterday's post--that is definitely the picture of pure bliss!

It's interesting that he seems to be the aggressor yet has been so cautious about trying out her basket. Brody sure is one handsome mancat!
